Economic Empowerment at the Grassroots
The #BWMProgram is central to our Economic & Family Empowerment pillar. This initiative focuses heavily on table banking and micro-credit programs specifically designed to lift marginalized families out of poverty.
In our most recent phase, we awarded 3rd phase grants to 50 Self Help groups drawn directly from the Bwiri ward and surrounding locations. By providing these community groups with initial seed capital (e.g., €1700 for groups of 30 members), we foster an environment of financial stability, collective saving, and sustainable family economics.
